Members from the North Lanarkshire Business community gathered at Medicity to meet with representatives from the Council to discuss prospects and challenges for the area.
The event was hosted by Cllr Allan Graham, Convener of Regeneration and Infrastructure and Cllr Heather McVey, Business Manager for the Council.
Following a tour of the impressive £1m MediCity Scotland facility, attendees discussed a range of topics related to wider business support in North Lanarkshire. This included lively and positive feedback around the support under the Business Gateway brand, which the Council provides.
Cllr Graham said, “It was a pleasure to meet local business owners from the area and to hear what they think of the economic situation and business support services the Council provides. The businesses were open and honest and I will feed their comments back to my colleagues about how we can work together to fulfil North Lanarkshire’s potential.”
Cllr McVey added, “This is the first in a series of breakfast events and was a great opportunity to meet with the business owners. It was a very positive and practical discussion and I thank them for taking the time out of the business day to offer us their feedback on our services.”
