BeLanarkshireThe Lanarkshire Area Tourism Partnership (LATP) are honoured to sponsor the John Brinkins Award for Excellence in Tourism which recognises the significant contribution the industry makes to the local economy.

The award is named after our colleague and friend, John Brinkins. John was a major driving force within the Lanarkshire tourism sector until his sudden passing in 2012.

We are determined to continue John’s good work and remain passionate about finding innovative ways of adding value to the tourism offering in Lanarkshire. One such example is the BeLanarkshire initiative that allows hospitality sector and other customer service staff to complete free customer service training. The module can be completed online, saving companies time and money and aims to educate staff to become tourism ambassadors for Lanarkshire.
